KNOTTY AND NICE (1) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when fourth over 1006m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. IRON PYRITE (5) improved sharply on her sixth two starts back at this track with success over 1408m at this track three weeks ago, getting home by one length after being in contention on the corner. Likely to be there at the finish again. CANDID CANDACE (6) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish second last time out over 1673m at Fort Erie. Strong chance again.
