SEQUINNED (3) sets the standard after starting favourite and winning by two and a half lengths at Caulfield, with a close second in a Flemington trial since to keep her sharp. Her previous fifth in the G2 Tea Rose Stakes gives the profile more depth than a simple last-start win, and the Waller/McDonald pairing also has a proven Red Roses Stakes record. SCINTILLATION (2) has been running in all the right races, winning first up then placing in good company her past few. Like her back to 1100m. Should be at peak now. Appeals as a leading player. CALAMARI RING (1) missed the placings last start when 3 lengths away in sixth over 1400m at Randwick. Best efforts measure up and worth including.
