Flemington Race 2 - Hkjc World Pool Red Anchor Stakes (G3)
Scratchings change things up a fair bit. HALF PIPE (6) didn't have much luck last week, closing off well for fifth once clear. HE was well suited by the pace up front and they were stopping at the finish but he was sound and his runs in better races up in Sydney prior bode well for this. VALAROSO (5) and TURBO SAINT (9) are both progressive through provincial form. VALAROSO should give a sight while TURBO SAINT missed the jump at Geelong and can do much better. They reach for the blinkers with BUGGSY (2) now and that might sharpen him up. He's been very solid so far and no reason to think he doesn't give another good account.
