Finger Lakes Race 8 - Race 8 - Allowance Optional Claiming

KING'S LEAP (7) was beaten just 0.3 lengths last start when second in a small field over 1673m at this track (Dirt). L E Perez who has scored on him five times retains the mount. Leading contender. ELDEST SON (3) finished fourth two runs back at Monmouth Park Turf (Turf) then improved last time out to score by 0.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn over 1609m at Mountaineer Park (Dirt). Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. GUNNER BAY (1) is back at the races for the first time since May 2. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1207m at Churchill Downs. Has switched to the Rudy R Rodriguez yard. Worth plenty of thought. ZATARA (5) missed the frame last time when fifth at this track. Prior to that had been in the money on three consecutive occasions. Should be poised just off the lead. In the mix.
