Finger Lakes Race 5 - Race 5 - Claiming

SHORTSINTHEWINTER (8) scored at this track (Dirt) last time out with 1.75 lengths in reserve at the end of 1106m. Boasts three wins here. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Expecting a bold showing. STORMIN SAMMY (9) ran well below his best last time over 1106m at this track (Dirt), beaten 4 lengths into fourth at $3.46. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Sure to be in the finish. MAYHEMINTHEPALACE (1) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 4 lengths, over 1106m at this track (Dirt). Has a solid record at this journey with three wins from 10 starts and shapes as one to consider. CHARGING AERO (2) raced on the speed and found plenty to score by 0.8 lengths at today's track and distance last start in a far better effort. Nicely placed to take this out.
