ROTHKO (4) is a progressive four-year-old entire who resumes from a break of ten weeks, his last appearance being a win over 1609m at this track (Dirt) at his only run of that campaign. Goes well when fresh including a win and one minor placings. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Leading contender. MAXIMUM PROMISE (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on December 4, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 2012m at Turfway Park (Synthetic). Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. VAMOS CARLITOS (6) impressed last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 11 lengths from the winner in third over 1710m at this track.
