GOLDEN ALE (7) displayed plenty of early toe over 1006m at Belterra Park Turf (Turf) last time and dug deep to score by 1.3 lengths. Meets some better types this time but another big run is on the cards. DOCTOR JEFF (8) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 1106m at Saratoga Turf (Turf). Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. BAD BEAT BRIAN (2) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1006m at Lone Star Park Turf, beaten 1.5 lengths.
