With that run under 1400m under the belt he should shake the life out of this from the good draw. PRINCE DE VEGA (5) has a fitness edge on most rivals here and looks ready for 1400m now. THE MAILER (6) returned from a spell 2.5 weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into ninth over 1200m at Caulfield. Will enjoy a drop in class here, so he can play a big role. SPARKLES (9) was beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth over 1200m at this track last time, in a race that contained a number of rivals here. Just needs a good run from the gate to be in the finish again.
