Eagle Farm Race 9 - Cricks Highway Queensland Cup (L)

AMPLIFY (3) profiles strong for this after only missing by a neck in the G3 Colin Stephen Quality at Rosehill after being bumped at the start. Her fourth in the G3 Newcastle Cup two runs ago also reads well. Only needs to hold her form to prove hard to beat. CHILLAXING (6) has the most appealing local profile, with a strong record at this track and proven 2400m form. DIAMOND SHOW (10) is airborne but was ultimately left with too much ground to bridge last time in the Toowoomba. Doubt the rise in trip will bother her and she gets in at a featherweight again. Watch for her charging late. FELIX THE SCAT (4) was runner-up in the Cup after covering ground early. Thompson sticking is an obvious bonus, so respecting. TAPILDOODLEDO (8) is going better than his form reads but is drawn awful. With a bit of luck he could cause a scare at a big price.

Was sent out favourite at Toowoomba last start and finished fourth to Cavalry Man, beaten just over two lengths after moving up but not quickening. Her Doomben second in Benchmark 85 grade prior was strong, beaten a neck by Livalittle, and she has placed in all three starts at this track. First try around 2400m is the main unknown, but her current campaign gives her a live winning chance. A return to the winner's circle won't shock.

That was an improvement on his last in a Benchmark 68 at Doomben, where he jumped awkwardly and was beaten just over nine lengths. First 2400m run in this company looks a stern test.

He had won a similar race at Gold Coast two runs ago, beating Captain Maverick by a nose at big odds. Consistent enough, but the step from BM78 company into Listed grade is the stumbling block. May be a low weight flyer.
