Eagle Farm Race 1 - Souths Sports Club Hcp
EVER SO READY (1) stalked the pace and had his chance but ran out of condition late when resuming over 1000m at this track a fortnight ago. Dominated on debut last prep over 1200m so this longer trip is ideal. Should dictate from gate one and looks the goods. WRITTEN ACLAIM (3) tackled the $500k Qtis Jewel last time out and did a fine job to get up for fifth over 1200m at the Gold Coast after racing back in the field. Progressing nicely and from a better gate today he poses a genuine threat. NAUGHTY NEIL (2) started favourite and took care of a small field of maidens at Ipswich recently. Finding the line with purpose so an extra 100m here looks a suitable path. SPIRIT OF TORQUE (8) ran out a strong 1350m at Ipswich last start, beaten narrowly. Takes on better opposition this time but she is open to further improvement. I Am Invincible colt VINCLEY (7) is trialling well and is a definite market watch. Ange Jones a notable booking.

Raced twice to date. When well in the market at debut, held ground to the line 3rd of 8 at Doomben 2yo Mdn-Sw on March 4 over 1110m, 3.5 len behind Hard To Exceed with 58kg at $2.70. Second-up favourite; ran on strongly from last on the turn and won by 0.9 len at Ipswich 2yo Mdn-Sw March 14 over 1200m in soft going defeating Threeeyedwitch carrying 56kg at $1.90. Progressing nicely and although there are better types here he can measure up again.
