Eagle Farm Race 1 - Racecourse Village Hcp (C3)
CABALETTO (3) is a promising mare back from a four-month spell. Cruised to victory at Toowoomba first-up last prep then led all the way to take out a similar race to this here a run later. Big trial winner at Doomben on 10 February which points towards another successful return. SEYMOUR STARS (4) returned from a nine-month spell and made it three wins from three starts, scrambling in over this distance at Port Macquarie five weeks ago. Subsequently romped home in a Coffs Harbour trial. The stable rarely venture here so this mare might be pretty smart. HEY DAISY (5) dominated in a Class 1 over 1040m at Grafton recently. Big step up today but she is a lightly raced mare with scope for improvement. LOKEN (8) meets some better types today but is flying this prep and gets all the favours from the inside draw.
