ABENDER (8) has been much better in his last two and did have some excuses last time after being slowly away and settling too far back. Expecting him to be at the peak of his powers now over a track and trip he relishes. Ready. VINTAGE VIBES (15) progressed nicely second-up when knuckling down strongly to get the verdict at the Gold Coast. Has more to offer and rates a big threat. SCHEHERAZADE (6) is a promising mare resuming for the McLean yard. Has shown good ability to fate and is proven fresh performer. A Gold Coast trial win should have her ready. CHAMPAGNE LANE (11) was an impressive winner fresh at the Goldy in what has proven a hot form reference. Not as effective last time but gets a key switch in Thompson and gets the blinkers applied. Can rebound sharply. Can't leave TASMAN BAY (14) out of calculations either. He should give another bold sight.
