STAR OF JAMAICA (1) started at $4.20 but never gave backers a hope when resuming over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start. Performed very well last prep in the Skyline and Pago Pago over today's trip. Blinkers go on for the first time today - watch for this classy three-year-old to bounce back to his best. YOTEI (14) has not raced since failing as an easing $3.20 chance on debut over 1110m here in March. Trialling in great fashion and with just 52kgs makes plenty of appeal on the comeback trail. SYRIAN DIAMOND (10) made it two disappointing runs in a row when down the track here at this distance three weeks back. Drops dramatically in the weights so from a good gate gets one more chance. STAR OF THE BAR (4) couldn't go with them early but made late inroads to just miss the placings when fresh from a spell over 1000m at Eagle Farm last time. Can race closer and will be tougher to beat out to 1200m. TOUCH BASE (5) next best with the shades on for the first time.
