Doomben Race 2 - Racecourse Village Hcp (C1)
CASINO BAY (2) returned from a ten-month spell with an encouraging second last start over 1110m at this track. Speedy filly who will make full use of the inside draw and that gun run will give her the edge in an even contest. MR BUBBALUSKI (1) also returned from a long spell in the same race as CASINO BAY here three weeks ago and took ground off today's rival in the run home to get up for third. Placed five from five at Doomben so his credentials are hard to fault. DOMINANT DARCY (3) led all the way to easily win her maiden here at this trip when resuming two back. Edged out at a short price in a subsequent outing over 1350m. Big chance coming back to six furlongs. THE STARS (4) went back then flashed home for second when resuming over this distance at Ipswich recently. Can race closer from a better draw and is right in contention. ANDI DON'T CARE (9) is on trial at this distance. Very honest and will give a good account.
