The Archibald yard has a strong hand. TINKLEJAZZ (4) went well at Canterbury and Randwick and then started in a Magic Millions feature Maiden and didn't have much luck at a price. Draws a soft gate and should relish the step-up to the mile. Maloney replaced Thompson, who stays with stablemate KURITHEA (5), who was beaten a nose over 1400m at the Gold Coast first up as a $4.5 favourite. Presents fitter and has raced well over this trip. SATURDAYS GIRL (3) just missed at Ballina over a sprint and this trip suits much better. Has a senior jockey aboard today and third-up she can make the finish. FRENCH RIVIERA (2) spotted them a big start at Coffs Harbour over 1305m but had been narrowly beaten at Lismore and the Gold Coast the two before. Has the outside gate but she's seasoned enough for the step up in journey and the 3kg claim brings her into it.
