The main hopes chased Sunrays home here at this trip a fortnight ago. PRETTY DUBIOUS (2) led that day and have a kick but couldn't hold off the winner when making his debut. Sure to take a lot hit-out and appeals as the one to beat. BETTERLUCKNEXTTIME (1) won two from two in the Spring then was spelled. Raced handy but tired late to finish fourth when resuming in the Sunrays race. Can improve with that run under the belt with senior jockey Ryan Wiggins going on. TORO CHASE (8) won his trial at the Sunshine Coast by panels and looks very slick, while David Vandyke's PENROD (6) also bolted in on the same morning. The latter has come up favourite and is clearly very talented.
