PHANTOM'S CHASE (5) has raced over the mile at all three runs this prep. Hit the front close to home last start at Echuca only to be run down near the line. Beaten narrowly over a similar trip to this at Seymour last prep. Cherry ripe at the fourth run back and is ready to break through. CAMELOT TIME (2) is a lightly raced stayer who stepped out beyond 1600m for the first time recently and caught the eye late in the piece over 2040m at Seymour. Should enjoy the extra 160m today and he looks to have more upside than most of these. SPICY APPLE (7) keeps improving deep into his maiden campaign. Made a long, sustained run to get up for second last time out over 2000m at Mildura. Tough three-year-old who should relish this challenge. ONVAAYA (3) stepped up quickly to 2040m at Seymour last start and weakened late in the piece after leading. Fitter now and is a likely improver. FRESHWATER FOX (11) kept coming at the end over 1600m at Hamilton last time. This looks a suitable assignment.
