Delta Downs Race 3 - Race 3 - Mdn Special Weight
CARLOS THE KID (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time when he was in the firing line all the way over 1207m at Evangeline Downs (Dirt). Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. BOLD ECHO (1) looked good at his only appearance 12 weeks ago over 1006m at Evangeline Downs (Dirt), finishing third and beaten 5 lengths. Inside draw will assist and is a solid top-three chance. COUNTLESS (6) was in contention on the bend and finished third last time over 1106m at Louisiana Downs (Dirt), beaten 12 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of a big run. MY URBAN LEGEND (10) is appearing for the first time. By Frosted and comes from the Samuel Breaux stable. Watch the market closely.

Was as a despised roughie at debut, ran second last of 11 at Evangeline Downs on August 22 over 1006m, 22 len behind Pastinaca carrying 53.5kg at $119.40. Cannot enthuse after that sub-standard performance.

Recent form sound. Last start 3rd in a small field at Louisiana Downs on September 23 over 1106m, 12 len behind Yo' Lion with 55.5kg at $9.50. The race before that crossed from a wide gate to lead but couldn't hold on when 4th of 11 at Evangeline Downs on September 5 over 1207m, 7 len behind Pizzolatto carrying 54.5kg at $53.90. Good effort last start and can build on that performance.
