Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with four wins from six runs and is a leading contender. HILL ROAD (6) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1609m at Belmont Park, beaten 5 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. BENDOOG (5) returns from a layoff of 12 weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1710m at Oaklawn Park. Sure to make his presence felt. COOKE CREEK (4) was prominent at the bend and finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1811m at Saratoga (Dirt), beaten 3 lengths. Is yet to be beaten in three starts here. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out.
