SOUTHERN WHISPER (1) is a two-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 9 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1207m at Keeneland (Dirt). Plenty of scope for improvement and is a great chance to break through. MAX IS HIM (6) ran below expectations last time at this track (Dirt), finishing seventh and beaten 66 lengths starting at $6.19. This doesn't look as hard so he is one of the main contenders. CANTIS (8) progressed nicely last time out to finish just one length from the winner in third over 1509m at Horseshoe Indianapolis Turf after being in the firing line on the bend. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp. STAKEHOLDER (4) has switched yards since finishing fifth seven weeks ago over 1308m at this track. Can measure up for the new barn.
