LOCAL KNOWLEDGE (6) went forward last start over 1408m in the G1 H Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes at Saratoga (Dirt) and held on well for third, beaten 11 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. PLUTARCH (1) last appeared when successful by 0.8 lengths over 1609m in the G3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita (Dirt) eight months ago, the only time he went to the races last prep. Should park just off the speed. Should be involved in the finish. STEEL (3) built on a nice second two starts back at this track (Dirt) with success as public elect over 1811m at Ellis Park (Dirt) seven weeks ago, getting home by 2.75 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
