TIZ MARY'S COMET (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1106m at Ellis Park Turf, beaten 3.5 lengths into fifth after being in contention on the bend. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. CAPTAIN MERCURY (9) is a distance specialist who improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Colonial Downs (Dirt) with a win over 1207m at Colonial Downs (Dirt) three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by a nose after being in the firing line on the corner. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. CAPITAL CONNECTION (10) ran a bold race over this journey last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish 2.25 lengths away in second at Ellis Park (Dirt). Steps up a level but he is good enough to make a big impact. KEEP ON MOVING (4) was last at the races when he finished sixth over 1408m at this track (Dirt) on June 24. Has switched to the Michael A Tomlinson stable. Has to be respected.
