This might prove a decent opportunity for VARIETY ACT (5) to get off the mark second time out. The Sir Mark Prescott-trained son of Lope De Vega went down by a neck over 1400m here on debut last November and could have more to offer now stepping up to 1600m. The more experienced GENNADIUS (2) shaped better than the bare result when sixth tackling 1200m at this venue a week ago. Trained by Richard Hannon and placed on all three starts attempting 1600m. Will appreciate going back up in distance. Waldgeist newcomer HENGIST POD (3) hails from a notable yard and cannot be ignored first time out. DADDY CHILL (1) rates next best.
