Charles Town Race 8 - Race 8 - Claiming

HAMDOUN (9) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at this track (Dirt) over 1308m, beaten 1.5 lengths. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and seven minor placings from 10 starts. Expected to be in the finish. AXEL FOLEY (2) did little and finished 6 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1308m at this track last start after being in contention on the corner, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Colonial Downs Turf the run before. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BIRDY WHISPER (6) did a great job to score by 1.75 lengths over today's course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Looks well placed so expect another big run. GO FOR BOURBON (3) returns after a spell of three months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1308m at Turfway Park. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
