Caulfield Race 4 - Sportsbet Blue Diamond Prelude (F)
Tough for the fillies Prelude. MOANA SPIRIT (2) is unbeaten in two starts, winning the Geelong Diamond impressively a month ago, really coming away late after settling back in the field. She's since been kept up to the mark with a solid trial and can prove too strong again here. RUBI'S CHOICE (1) won the Preview at $26 in a good effort. Doubt there was much fluke about that win, she'll just need some luck from the gate to be figuring again. JACARANDA (7) is the tricky one. She bolted in on debut at Seymour, scoring by nearly six lengths over just two rivals, neither of whom have raced since. The time was good without getting carried away but she's clearly very talented. MEDICINAL (10) is a filly by Brazen Beau on debut for the Hayes yard. Really liked her recent trial win at Geelong when coming between runners. Keeping safe. STREISAND (3) was home fastest in the Preview and can improve out to 1100m here.
