Caulfield Race 3 - Sportsbet Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G)
GUEST HOUSE (3) has been at the head of Blue Diamond betting for a while now, courtesy of his soft debut win at Cranbourne when heavily backed. He did plenty wrong but came away late to win well. He'll need to improve but has always profiled as a horse who would do just that. Respecting ETERNAL WARRIOR (2) who won the Merson Cooper on debut at huge odds. His latest trial looked very sharp work and Damian Lane sticks aboard from that hitout. HIGH ALERT (6) had no luck at all in the Preview, buried away in a messy race, only getting out very late and flashing home. He has to be given another chance despite that race looking a bit shaky. CLOSER TO FREE (7) is a Street Boss colt on debut for the O'Brien yard who won his latest trial over ETERNAL WARRIOR in slick time. Wary. EUROCANTO (1) was scratched at the gates in the Preview, he hasn't done anything wrong and has claims.
