Caulfield Race 3 - Stow Storage Autumn Classic (G2)
IMPERIALIST (2) can give this a shake at each way odds. He settled well back at Canterbury second up over 1550m but ran some slick late sectionals to grab third in a slowly run race. He'll relish the rise in trip and the Waller yard must be respected. EMPHASIZE (5) was dominant breaking his maiden at Sale two back and measured up to beat the older horses here last time in a tough effort. Back to his own age here, he should go close. SHANWAH (4) has won his past two, far too good in BM64 grade at Caulfield Heath last time out. He can settle close to the speed and take beating. ENTRUSTING (3) appreciated the rise to this trip when winning at Sandown Lakeside and will be hard to hold out. SCARY (1) is the class stayer. Interesting to see him back up from the CS Hayes last week, where he only got warm late. This trip suits far better, he might need even further to perform.
