Caulfield Race 5 - Sportsbet Blue Diamond Prelude (F)
Keen to see MY GLADIOLA (1) again. She'd jumped out very well prior to her debut in the Preview and she lived up to that and then some, sprinting very well to score a strong 1.5 length win over some fairly well established types. Up to 1100m won't be an issue at all, one turn from the chute start means the wide draw should be fine and the others will be hard pressed to turn the tables. WILTSHIRE SQUARE (4) finished third to MY GLADIOLA last time, beaten 3.5 lengths. She's a good each way hope. MISS CELINE (2) was an eye catching winner on debut and measured up well when fourth to MY GLADIOLA fresh. Up to 1100m could suit her. PALM ANGEL (3) started favourite in the Preview and ran fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths. She fares better at the barrier draw here and can improve. EXCENIA (9) is a nicely bred filly by Exceed And Excel who has won a trial and could run a cheeky race on debut.
