TRAVOLTA (1) is a Group winner who went close in the Parramatta Cup second up and now lands in the 100th Canberra Cup at the right time. Stable had options and the choose to send him down the highway for this important task. Suspect they have pulled the right reign as his ratings profile is strong and the stage is set for him to produce a new peak in the Capital. He goes on top of SAM HAWKENS (7) who resumed and finished within range in the same contest at his first run for the new yard. The former UK galloper is 2/2 second up and can turn up here sharper. So will FLYING BANDIT (8) who would have been set for this and did enough first up in a tricky spot. Speaking of tricky spots - TOURISTIC (9) continues to find them but the smaller field after scratchings might see them a touch more positive now. If they can put him somewhere in the race he is good enough.
