HAPHAZARD (1)'s Townsville eighth first-up was not as poor as it reads after an awkward start and a tiring finish from on speed. He's much better than that and can play a much more significant role this time. WILLINGALE (6) must be respected off that Ewan win as favourite, having beaten SPEEDY TARGET by a nose, though the narrow margin leaves little between them again. MAGIC SUNNY DAY (5) has been below his best at his past two, but the Atherton run included a steadied passage near the 800m and the weight relief gives him some scope to rebound into the placings.
