Bunbury Race 7 - Bunbury Cup On Sale Now Hcp (C3)

With the short-priced favourite scratched, the final event looks wide open. The leaning is to SURF PATROL (2) who was outclassed first up in a tougher race at Ascot, albeit he was awful there when beaten 20 lengths. He's usually consistent, look for a much-improved run. RIVER ANGEL (8) perhaps didn't run out 1500m last time. Her form prior over 1200-1400m was good and she should give a good sight with the light weight. STATE OF FURY (6) resumes. She'll want a bit more ground but looked to trial quite well recently and can be staying on strongly late. JUST GIFTED (7) resumes for a new yard having gone to the paddock a winner at York. This will be a good test but she's shown ability behind some talented types in the past.
