Bordeaux Le Bouscat Race 2 - Prix Chapeau Rouge Stakes

IMPERIAL ME CEN (5) recorded a 4.75L fourth in the 1400m G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp in October last year. Selected to make a winning seasonal debut. LE MATELOT (1) suffered a 13L defeat in registering a fifth place finish in the 1600m Listed Grand Prix Anjou Bretagne at Nantes on his return from a break. Bold show expected. PLUTARQUE (3) faded in the closing stages in delivering a 2.5L fourth over this course and distance. Shortlist. WEEKEN (4) lost out by 0.5L in placing second in the previously mentioned track and trip event. Warrants close consideration chasing the second win of his career.

Second-up. First-up after three months 5th of 8 in the LR Grand Prix Anjou Bretagne at Nantes on October 14 over 1600m, slow going 13 len behind Grandpa Cen with 57kg at $7. Previously second-up 2nd of 10 at Lyon-Parilly on April 13 over 1350m, 4 len behind Thor Lightning carrying 57kg at $3.80.
