Belmont Park Race 3 - Race 3 - Claiming

DEAR CHAIRMAN (3) got the prize two runs ago at Saratoga. Safely held last time out when fourth over 1609m at this track, beaten 8 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so he is a leading contender. MAD BANKER (4) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by half a length over 1673m at Penn National (Dirt). Will be tough to hold out again. STURDY (1) is back from a three-and-a-half months spell and he does run well first-up, including a win over 1811m at Saratoga at the start of last prep. Likely to take beating. SHARP SPARK (6) finished midfield when resuming from a break last start over 2012m at this track (Dirt), beaten 7 lengths. Good record at this journey with four wins and five minor placings from 11 starts and can play a role in the finish.
