Belmont Park Race 5 - Race 5 - Mdn Optional Claiming
FIRE MARSHAL (1) finished just half a length from the winner in second when returning from a layoff last start over 1106m at Saratoga Turf (Turf) after racing on the pace. Should go forward again from a good gate. Has the ability to figure prominently. COASTAL EVACUATION (5) made a promising debut over 1207m at Monmouth Park (Dirt) last start, finishing second and beaten 1.3 lengths. Promising type with improvement to come so he should pay to follow. SUMMER BROTHER (7) is a two-year-old colt by Raging Bull out of Durable Goods stepping out on debut for the Kenneth G Mcpeek stable. Should acquit himself well. Watch for a positive market lead. BOER WAR (3) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 3 lengths from the winner in second over 1207m at Saratoga (Dirt). Improver worth including.
