SHE'S A SPLINTER (4) is the horse to beat after a sound first-up third at Northam, where she was slow away, covered ground and still finished within a length and a half of Quick Cookie. Pike hops back aboard now and she's a second-up winner in the past. Can land the knockout blow. GENTLE TOUCH (6) stuck on well in the Max Simmonds Stakes after ending up near the tail of the field in the run. Chris Parnham rides now as she drops right back in grade and with her upside, she makes plenty of appeal. ARTIE'S STORM (2) was beaten as a well-supported favourite in CL3 grade but drops in grade, draws barrier one and had been beaten only a head at this venue the run prior. BUDINO (3) earned respect with a dominant Kalgoorlie Mdn win as favourite and Lucy Fiore stays with her. Keep safe. ALGADON STORM (5) was solid first-up at big odds and can feature again.
