The 2YO's take centre stage now with FIREARM (2) going on top. He looks primed for this getting out to 1200m today following a strong closing effort as the fav most recently. Back to midweek company today and the inside draw should see him get every chance. Looks ready to land the knockout blow. PROPERATA (1) was very strong from the front when crossing from a wide draw, only being caught late in the race. Back to midweek company now, but he has the speed to roll across from out wide and should take plenty of catching if he can find the front. SHENTON ROAD (9) flew home over 1400m last start in a strong performance and clocked some very impressive splits in the process. Back to 1200m is a slight query, but he showed he's got some ability at his latest effort. Watch for him late in the race. PLAYING SOLO (7) has shown enough at the trials for Pike who sticks for his debut. Can feature. DIXIE DOO (8) wasn't far away at Bunbury last start and is not to be discounted.
