SHARPASSA (3) won two trials and then went close at Bunbury on debut. Improved again there when leading and winning a Maiden easily bet into the red. Fitter again and from a low draw and can take the next step. Plenty of interest in the return of GANGSTER GODDESS (5), who was last seen 187 days ago beaten 1L at this track over 1200m. She will be naturally improved, and the gun jockey is engaged. Jumps from the inside barrier and is feared. NISTIRITH (6) resumed as a short-priced favourite at Mt Barker and was narrowly beaten from the front. She was very competitive at Bunbury the two before and will be in the finish holding that level of form. BAMBINO CHINO (4) improved sharply when missing by 1L from the front at Bunbury and then folded up at big odds in tougher grade at Ascot. This suits her much better, and she'll carry just 54.5kg with the claim.
