Ballina Race 1 - Tab Country Boosted Mdn Hcp
DANCE GAVIN DANCE (1) has not been too far away at either run to date. Freshened up since an even effort over 1183m at Grafton five weeks ago. Finds a soft maiden and if he lives up to the first two performances he should take this out. JOANJETT (2) made it three close seconds in a row when she led but was nailed late over 1120m at Lismore last time out. Might need some luck slotting in from a wide gate with plenty of pace underneath, but on recent form she is the only serious threat to the top pick. GRACEFUL WARRIOR (7) ran a nice race first-up over 1040m at Grafton then weakened badly from the corner when extended to 1181m most recently. Lightly raced four-year-old mare who deserves another chance back at this trip. Debutant PRESTIGE BLUE (4) is a two-year-old thrown in against the older horses. Trialled in good style at Grafton recently and should acquit himself well. Hard to make a case for the other runners.
