Ballarat Race 5 - Hygain Edge Mdn Plate
Race has unfortunately fallen away big time after scratchings. Great opportunity for OCEANS BLUE (13), who resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 1103m at Kyneton after being prominent at the turn. Draw doesn't look anywhere near as bad after a heap came out and race experience could prove crucial. First starter KIRKSTONE (11) looks to have the talent to take this out on debut. Has placed in two trials this time in and draws to advantage. CIRQUE DE COCO (9) did set the world on fire in the debut prep but has trialled like she's taken great improvement from it. CIRCUS CIRCUS (2) contested some better races than this when with her former trainer and has trialled up well for the new stable.
