MISS DIVIDEND (10) showed good early speed last start on debut and fought on well to hold second, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 1000m at Bendigo. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. EXPLOSIVE MAGIC (6) finished sixth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found one better over 975m at Swan Hill, beaten only 0.8 lengths. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise. HOWCANI RESISTYOU (8) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a 10th over 1200m in the G3 David Coles Stakes at Morphettville. This a sharp drop back in grade and looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Caulfield trial. RUBY GUILD (11) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 1100m at Caulfield Heath. Must be included. GIRTON (7) is debut, but boast impressive bloodlines, and recent trial efforts suggest she's up to playing a role here.
