Ballarat Race 2 - Manhari Mdn Plate
Some big stables represented here with horses building up to a good display in a race of this nature. Getting within 5 lengths of Observer, as WENTWORTH FALLS (6) did two back, is good form for this and while he was spelled after that, he'd jumped out well ahead of the return, where he was only beaten 2.65 lengths. Better for that and goes 1300m to 1600m here, which looks ideal. WONDERDOWNUNDER (8) has improved at each of his three runs and only found one better last start. Draws well here and the benefit of a run at 1600m could prove vital. WHAT ABOUT JUNIOR (7) hadn't done a lot at the jumpouts before the debut but was kept safe there and might not have loved the Heavy track. Better ground here suits, as does the ride in trip for the son of Fiorente. CUSHIONED (10) was tested in town first-up and while never a factor, she'll be fitter and better suited here despite the wide gate. LUFITAAH (11) disappointed first-up but jumped out too well prior to write off.
