IT'S ALL CALM (7) has only had the two starts but finished fourth at Kyneton over 1479m last start when first-up, beaten 4 lengths. Will be better for that outing, which suggested the step up to this prep would be of benefit and this does look a race with a long tail. SACRE BLEU (4) will be better for two runs back, which have been over 1300m and 1400m in stronger races than this. He just has to deal with the potentially tricky outside alley. INSUBORDINATE (6) is also drawn out but has improvement to come, having resumed from a spell last start when a three-length seventh over 1300m at Warrnambool. SHARE THE PENNIES (11) hit the frame two starts ago at Seymour but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 8 lengths over 1600m at this track. This is a nice drop in grade so she is perfectly placed to improve. LADY OF STEEL (8) ran a better race last start, finishing 1.5 lengths away in fourth over 1600m at Ararat and has a fitness edge on most rivals here.
