Disappointing turn out for a 1200m novice stakes. The overwhelming choice is newcomer GREAT OAK (1) who represents the Karl Burke stable and is owned by a powerful breeding operation. By Mehmas who is a tremendous sire of youngsters and has several smart winners all over the pedigree. Stable are a terrific source of two-year-old winners and are operating at 22% this campaign already. Looks impossible to oppose despite his inexperience. Sole rival is the experienced STAR PEOPLE (2) who has been gelded since finishing well held in fifth at Chester. One for nurseries. MOLLISHA (3) is a non-runner.
