BRAVE EDDY (3) resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 1000m at Townsville after being in contention on the corner. This is the right race and can take this out. POWER SHOW (5) was well in the market last time out but could only manage fifth over 1210m at Mareeba, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will drift back but wind up late. Will prove tough to beat. CHARGIN' (4) returned last time with a solid third at Townsville over 1000m after being prominent at the turn. This is an easier assignment and can get the job done. SWEET CANDY (8) is a three-year-old filly who is having her first run for the Alexander Malliff barn. Finished off last campaign with a fourth at Gulgong ten months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Has to be respected.
