Assiniboia Downs Race 4 - Buffalo S. Stakes
C J'S MAYZEE (9) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1106m at this track, scoring by 1.75 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Kerron Khelawan was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Big chance to go back-to-back. SASHA'S DREAM (8) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish second last time over 1106m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Hard to beat. DEPUTIZE (7) had support on debut last time out when he boxed on fairly to finish fourth, beaten 3 lengths over 1106m at this track. One of the contenders. BUCKDENS SPIRIT (4) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish third last time, beaten 2.75 lengths over 1106m at this track. Has the pace to be prominent from the outset. Further improvement to come.

Second-up ran last of 7 at this track on September 1 over 1006m, 9 len behind Give Her The Oscar with 55.5kg at $59.35. Recent form suggests this might be a bit too tough.
