Ascot Race 6 - Tabtouch - Placid Ark Prelude
AFIREOFGIDGEECOALS (1) was coming with a wet sail in the Max Simmonds, missing by a nostril. Wouldn't surprise to see him back in the running again, but this looks a little easier than the Simmonds and the fresh run suggests he's ready to take the next step. Can go one better now. AURUM BELLE (3) didn't have much luck in the Simmonds when caught wide and she's been back to the trials since. Fitter for the fresh run and if she can bounce back to her best now, she'll play a leading role. HANSADIOS (9) creates interest with the stable on fire lately, winning easily over 1000m in a CL1. This is much tougher, but she ticks plenty of boxes from an inside draw and will be tough to reel in from the front. MORNING THUNDER (4) showed some talent last campaign without winning. Nice trial around HANSADIOS coming in and he won't be far away. LEVATI DIMEZZO (5) finished behind HANSADIOS last start and can be in the finish again here.

His previous second in the G3 WA Sires Produce Stakes behind Beatty adds genuine depth, and he has two wins and three placings from six starts at this venue. Flew home to just miss last start, but the rise in trip suits and he can go one better.

Two back she was third in the G2 Karrakatta Plate, and her three wins from five starts at this track are a major asset.
