MALASTAR (5) led them up on debut at this track and trip but couldn't hold off ALBIREX when beaten 0.8L. Blinkers go on now and she's drawn to find the front a little easier this time. Gets a weight swing in her favour and she can make every post a winner this time. ALBIREX (1) ran over the top to score last start after jumping a $13 chance, running down MALASTAR in the process. Rises in weight, but he looks an exciting gelding and with his ability to sit off the speed and run them down, he can repeat the dose. BRAVE MATADOR (6) was very impressive in her latest trial, running on under minimal riding to score in an 850m heat. Looks to have her share of ability and while she may get back in the run, she can be storming home late. SWIFT DIVIDE (8) hit the line alongside BRAVE MATADOR in her last trial and should get every chance with the aid of an inside barrier. DEFEND THE NATION (2) can improve with the debut run under his belt.
