DARK LOOKS (7) finished off strongly to just miss last time out, clocking some good splits in the process. She now draws to sit closer for Riordan, meaning she carries just 52kg. If she can sit closer and runs up to her splits last start, she can go one better. MISS VEUVE (2) finished behind DARK LOOKS two back before jumping favourite and winning last start over this track and trip a fortnight ago. Cooper's claim comes in handy as she'll carry the same weight as last start, and she's drawn better this time. Can continue her winning ways. ABISSI (5) dropped back in trip last start and only just missed at Kalgoorlie, finishing 1.1L off the winner after a good run here prior where she finished behind DARK LOOKS. Parnham rides again now and he can fire getting back out in distance. STARWALKER (3) wasn't beaten far last start and can be in the finish again. ROMMEO (4) is next best.

That followed a fifth in a 3yo+ 1 Metro Win when also sent out favourite, so she has been well found by the market this campaign. Improved at Belmont Park last start when fourth behind Miss Veuve, beaten just under two lengths at long odds after being close enough on the turn. That was a better effort than his soft-ground tenth the run prior, when he gave away too much start and only battled home. Good from the front last start and can play a leading role again.

He steps from provincial company to a harder meeting, but his prior Belmont Park third in the same grade reads well enough. Back out in trip looks a good move and he can get back to winning ways on the short turnaround.
