JUST WALTER JOHN (4) was caught wide and missed fresh before a dominant win last start when setting the tempo at Pinjarra most recently. Carbery remains in the saddle and he should find a handy spot from the barrier. Third-up now and can raise the bar once again. SOUND OF SPEED (2) won well two back before finding a couple better here last week at this track and trip. Nottle hops on board now and this looks an easier race on paper. The 3kg claim comes in handy and he can put his best foot forward again today. RIPPER RUPERT (1) got the job done last start at Bunbury and the form out of that race has been franked. Pike sticking with him is a good push for his chances and he should get the gun run just behind the speed. Can continue his winning ways. DEEPEST DESIRE (6) finished off well on debut and should appreciate the slight rise in trip. DOUBLE THE FUN (3) back in trip today but has claims on that maiden win 58 days ago.
