WESTERN JET (7) is a handy type, however, finishing 1.1L away at his most recent start at Belmont when jumping the favourite. That was 63 days ago and he comes here without a public outing since. CJP remains in the saddle and he'll be tough to run down if he can pick up where he left off. URQUHARTS BLUFF (3) resumed in good order with a narrow defeat at Pinjarra a fortnight ago. He sat on the speed there from a good draw, so tactics will be interesting with Nottle's 3kg claim. In the mix off the fresh effort.
